Splittable Fibres
High Filtration Efficiency
Lower air permeability filtration using fine fibres and splittable fibres provide high filtration efficiency in BMP products.
BMP utilises polyester, nylon and glass fibres among others to meet the high-performance requirements of our customer’s applications.
Work with BMP Design Engineers to achieve your application requirements by specifying:
- Desired Permeability
- Particle Size
- Chemical Environment
- Thermal Environment
Low Pressure Drop & Filtration
More open filter material structures provide lower pressure drop and targeted filtration efficiencies of unique customer applications.
Larger diameter fibres and lighter weight filter materials are customised to perform to meet your needs.
BMP higher air permeability depth filter materials offer unique performance ranges for demanding filtration products.
Chemical Treatment Capability
BMP chemical treatments add performance results to BMP engineered filter materials such as:
- Hydrophilic
- Hydrophobic
- Decreased Fibre Shedding
- Rigidity
- Burst Strength
- Flammability Properties
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Capability
FTIR is an analytical procedure that measures how well a sample absorbs light at different wavelengths.
By comparing the “wavelength fingerprint” of an unknown sample to a known sample, the closest match to the unknown can be determined.
BMP is well positioned to reverse engineer and or develop custom filter and material solutions to meet your exacting needs.
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
The DSC is an analytical procedure that measures the amount of heat required to increase the temperature of a sample.
Analysing the resulting curve will give the precise temperature of phase change (such as melting) which helps to identify unknown materials.
Efficiency Testing
Particle size is crucial when assessing the collection efficiency of a filter.
Efficiency increases in closed loop systems as contaminated fluid or gas/air is continually cycled through the filter.
BMP is positioned to assist with your filter requirements in both single pass and multi pass filtration systems.
Dirt Holding Capacity (DHC)
BMP filter materials are designed to meet customer specific dirt holding capacities.
Gradient filter material structures with more open upstream filter layers can be combined with more closed downstream material layers to maximize both DHC and efficiency.
Microcap™ is a BMP innovation example where efficiency and dirt holding capacity combine to meet unique filtration needs.
